K-Life Auxiliary Bowls Day: A Perfect Afternoon on the Green
What a day! 🌤️
K-Life’s Auxiliary Bowls Day brought together good friends, great food, and a whole lot of laughter at the Tannymorel Bowls Club. It was one of those golden afternoons where community spirit was front and centre — the kind of day that reminds everyone why Killarney and surrounds are such special places to live.
The greens were buzzing from early afternoon as teams rolled up their sleeves and got competitive (in the friendliest way possible). Bowlers of all ages took to the rinks, from seasoned players to first-timers just out for a laugh. With prizes for the winning teams, a multi-draw raffle, and a bar open throughout the day, there was plenty of good cheer to go around.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a K-Life event without some seriously good food. Guests enjoyed a classic BBQ with home-style salads, while others came just for the meal and a chat — because sometimes the best part of these days is catching up with neighbours and new faces over a plate of something tasty.
Tickets were great value too — just $25 for bowls and a meal, or options for meal-only and children’s meals. The mix of casual competition and relaxed dining made the day feel welcoming for everyone.
Every dollar raised from the Bowls Day went toward K-Life’s “Drive to Care” campaign, helping support local health and wellbeing programs across the region. It was heartening to see such strong community support, proving once again that when locals come together, they can make a real difference.
A huge thank-you to everyone who attended, donated, and volunteered to make the event such a success — especially the wonderful team at Tannymorel Bowls Club for hosting.
Days like this show what community connection looks like in action — fun, friendship, and a shared commitment to helping others.
